Oil Pastel Watercolor Resist

We had a fun in the Art Enrichment class at Imagine Academy on Tuesday.

Students practiced the Pablo Picasso technique of resistance.

They sketched their drawings first with pencil and then decided on the colors of oil pastels they would be using to complete their drawings.

After they had completed their oil pastel drawings they used watercolor paints to "wash" over the top of their drawings to finish off their projects.

They came out beautiful!

The extra special part of the day was receiving an adorable Easter Card from my sweet little kindergarten girl.
